Williams had 15 carries for 52 yards and two touchdowns, along with two targets (zero catches), on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. He surprisingly operated ahead of Cam Akers as the Rams' No. 1 back, with more carries (11 to 10) than Akers through three quarters when the game was close (17-13). Akers had a touchdown in the final quarter, as he finished with 22 carries for 29 yards.

Akers will surely have a prominent role in the Rams' backfield, so we're looking at a committee here and the situational usage could flip weekly. But Williams played nearly twice as many snaps on Sunday, naturally including more early down and third down snaps.

A running back with a role always has fantasy value, and Akers is not good enough to totally shut Williams out of getting work in a Rams' offense that looked really good on Sunday.
