Fantasy football: One QB, RB WR, and TE primed for huge Week 12 performances
By Lior Lampert
RB: Derrick Henry, Tennessee Titans
This season, Derrick Henry hasn’t been the locked-in RB1 that fantasy football managers have become accustomed to but is prepared to turn it up a notch. For whatever reason, Henry becomes even tougher to tackle after Thanksgiving and now faces a Panthers defense that has allowed the most rushing touchdowns to running backs this season (14) and ranks 24th in opponent rushing yards per game (129.4).
According to Matthew Berry’s weekly “Love/Hate” column for NBC Sports, running backs who have received at least 15 carries against the Panthers this season are averaging 22.3 fantasy points per game. The Titans enter this game as 3.5-point favorites per ESPN Bet, which means there should be a favorable game script for Henry.
Throughout his career, Henry has thrived in games that the Titans win. The issue for Henry, the Titans, and fantasy managers is that the Titans haven’t done a lot of winning this season. However, in Week 12, the Titans will have as good an opportunity as any to win against a 1-9 Panthers team that has been as bad as their record suggests.
