There are many factors that can cause the movement behind fantasy football’s biggest risers and fallers.

Injuries and recent signings are both factors. Some weeks we have suspensions and some weeks we have players and management having public disagreements over health. Some of these big swings in perceived value are overreactions and some are valid. Our goal is to help you reach the right decision as to what is causing these changes and help you take advantage of them. These are the biggest movers in the last week.

As always this will not list defenses or kickers because well, they are defenses and kickers. This also does not reflect the obvious ones like a quarterback who gets hurt after four plays and will miss the rest of the season.

RISERS

Jerome Ford - CLE - RB

Everyone is wondering what happens now with Nick Chubb out for the season and Kareem Hunt is back on the team. Hunt will continue to be what he always was and that is a backup. The Browns let you know that when they chose to keep Ford and release Hunt in the offseason. If he is still on your waiver wire, grab him.

Zack Moss - IND - RB

Moss had a very good game last week with a top-10 finish. He has elbowed Deon Jackson out of the top spot for the Colts. Jerome Ford is still the better pickup. The Jonathan Taylor mess is still not solved and when I pick up someone this early in the season I go for a back that has the better chance of being the number one for the rest of the season.

Kareem Hunt - CLE - RB

The Browns signing Hunt is a much better team move than a Fantasy move. He knows the system and should be able to contribute right away. If you have the roster availability it wouldn’t be a bad idea to grab them both and have Hunt as the handcuff.

Kyren Williams - LAR - RB

Just on volume, Williams will be a great pickup. With Cam Akers gone the only other running backs are Ronnie Rivers and Zack Evans.

Tutu Atwell - LAR - WR

Atwell has been very consistent this year with 8 targets and then 9 targets last week. With Puka Nacua getting all the attention, Atwell could be a nice sneaky pickup at least until Cooper Kupp comes back.

FALLERS

Deon Jackson - IND - RB

Zero touches last week. Unless Zack Moss gets hurt he has no value in Fantasy.

Ezekiel Elliott - NE - RB

In two games Elliott has 42 rushing yards and only 14 receiving. At this point, there are many better choices on the waiver wire.

Rashaad Penny - PHI - RB

Even Boston Scott seems to be higher up the food chain than Penny. As long as Swift and Gainwell are healthy it doesn’t look like there is much room for Penny.

Jerick McKinnon - KC - RB

After two games McKinnon has -2 yards rushing. There is no upside here and a bench player with no upside doesn’t have much value.

Week 3 Start/Sit. Week 3 Start 'Em, Sit 'Em. dark. Next

Quentin Johnston - LAC - WR

At the beginning of the season, it looked like he could be the WR3 on this very explosive offense and would have some Fantasy value. As the WR4 and having only 16 receiving yards, it’s time to cut him.
