The Los Angeles Rams were believed to be completely lost at the wide receiver position without Cooper Kupp, however, a diamond in the rough may have just burst onto the scene for the Rams' wide receiver core. Fifth-round selection Puka Nacua out of BYU stood out for the Rams’ offense Sunday afternoon, and he is a must-target if he's available in your fantasy football leagues.

Nacua led the Rams in receiving over Van Jefferson and Tyler Higbee, who were both names that fantasy owners were told to jump on with Kupp being out. Some may say Nacua's debut performance was a fluke, but against a Seattle secondary that is very stout, I wouldn't miss the opportunity to claim Nacua because it may not be a fluke after all.

Nacua hauled in 10 receptions for 119 yards and made history by going over 100 receiving yards in his NFL debut. He was targeted 15 times by Matthew Stafford, and in a fast-paced Sean McVay offense, you want the guy who gets the targets. The one who is seeing the volume on a consistent basis, and the Seahawks had zero answers for Puka Nacua.

Once Kupp returns, you may see a drop in Nacua's production, and he may not be a dominant player week to week, but if you are limited at the wide receiver position, the upside of the rookie's game is second to none. There is simply nobody else on the waiver wire you are going to get who went for over 100 yards and saw the ball come his way 15 times.

Stafford had a lot of trouble finding chemistry with any of the Rams receivers last season without Kupp and Odell Beckham Jr., and now seeing that he relied on Nacua to win a game on the road, we may have found his new go-to guy at the position, and that guy happens to be on the waiver wire in well over 85% of leagues. However, that is going to change very quickly before the Rams take the field again in Week 2.
