Week 12 of the 2023 NFL schedule will end with the Monday night game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears. But it's on to Week 13 in the fantasy football world, with six teams on a bye to thin lineup options for a critical week on the schedule. The Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears, Las Vegas Raiders, New York Giants are idle in Week 13.

Here is Week 13's edition of "playing the waiver wire."

Fantasy Football: Who should be added off the waiver wire in Week 13?

Keaton Mitchell, RB, Baltimore Ravens

Mitchell had nine carries for 64 yards and two catches for 25 yards against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 12. But more importantly, he played 33 snaps to 20 for Justice Hill and 19 for Gus Edwards and a 46 percent snap share.

Mitchell snap shares are trending up in chunks, going from 24 percent in Week 10 to 36 percent in Week 11 to that 46 percent in Week 12. After the Ravens' Week 13 bye, over 50 percent is the next frontier. Along with double-digit carries.

Baltimore will continue to use all three of their backs in some sort of rotation. But Mitchell is eating into Edwards' early down work week-by-week, and the rookie is simply a better player than Hill. If we can see it the Ravens' coaches do too, and the bye week might shine further light on it.

Somehow Mitchell remains available in a huge chunk of ESPN leagues, and in too many Yahoo! leagues. Adding him this week is firmly in play if you can do it, even if means stashing him on your bench during his bye week as the playoffs loom.
