Fantasy Football: Playing the waiver wire for Week 14
Jonathan Mingo, WR, Carolina Panthers
In the first game after the Panthers fired Frank Reich, Mingo played nearly every snap (69 out of 72) and had six receptions for 69 yards on 10 targets. He has at least six targets in four straight games, with at least 60 yards in the last two. His snap shares (90-plus percent in seven straight games) are now being met by his involvement as Adam Thielen's production trends down.
The Panthers have been officially eliminated from playoff contention, so there's officially nothing left to do this season but evaluate young players. And has bad as they are, Mingo should continue to rarely come off the field and over the last three games he has over a 24 percent target share from Bryce Young.
It's easy to overlook players on bad teams in fantasy football, especially at this point in the season. But Mingo is at least an interesting bench stash in 12-team leagues, if not a usable WR3 with upside from here on out.
