Ty Chandler, RB, Minnesota Vikings

After Alexander Mattison left the Week 14 game against the Las Vegas Raiders early in the third quarter, Chandler stepped in as the clear lead back for the Vikings. Production wasn't great (12 carries for 35 yards, three catches for seven yards), but Chandler now has at least 14 touches in three of the last four games. He has over 40 total yards in each of those three, and at least three catches in the last two where

Mattison's status for Week 15 against the Cincinnati Bengals is unclear right now, but he has avoided a major injury. So his role in the Vikings' backfield will remain if he's able to go. But for a couple games that preceded the game before Minnesota's Week 13 bye, Chandler was the better back of the two.

Even if Mattison does not miss any time, the Vikings' quarterback situation (Josh Dobbs or Nick Mullens) means there should be plenty of work to go around for both backs. Chandler offers more as a pass catcher too, enhancing his fantasy appeal heading into a fairly good stretch of schedule (Bengals-Week 15, Detroit Lions-Week 16, Green Bay Packers-Week 17).
