Week 16 of the season will conclude with Monday night's game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Seattle Seahawks. There are surely fantasy football playoff implications in the game, and who will win matchups and move on is up in the air.

But those with a first-round playoff bye, those who are assured of moving on or those who are competing in a consolation bracket should still have an eye on the Week 16 waiver wire, if only to churn roster depth.

With a thinner list than normal as such moves can be narrowed in many ways, here are some Week 16 waiver wire adds to have on your radar for Week 16.

Fantasy Football: Playing the Week 16 waiver wire

Ty Chandler, RB, Minnesota Vikings

With Alexander Mattison (ankle) out in Week 15 against the Cincinnati Bengals, Chandler took over as the Vikings’ lead back and delivered big with 23 carries for 132 yards and one touchdown, along with three catches for 25 yards,

Mattison may be able to return in Week 16, and it's a tough matchup against the Detroit Lions. But Chandler has mostly been the better back of the two when he’s gotten noticeable opportunities, and it’s hard to envision his role going to zero with Mattison healthy. Then Week 17 brings a good matchup against the Green Bay Packers.

Chandler was rightfully added in a lot of fantasy leagues last week. Even if he doesn’t see 26 touches in a game again from here on out because Mattison is available, he should be rostered in all 12-team leagues and probably started as at least a flex in many.
