Fantasy Football: Playing the waiver wire in Week 16

Filling in for the injured Josh Jacobs in Week 15 against the Los Angeles Chargers, White took over as the Raiders' lead back and had 17 carries for 69 yards and a touchdown along with three catches for 16 yards.

Jacobs' status for Week 16 against the Kansas City Chiefs is unclear, and he will have an extra day with the game on Christmas afternoon. It's also not nearly as good a matchup as the Chargers were. But if Jacobs can't go, it's been shown that White will be the early down guy with some role as a pass catcher. If Jacobs were to miss Week 17, the Indianapolis Colts entered Week 15 allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to running backs (Yahoo!; 0.5-point PPR).

White's fantasy value going forward is tied to Jacobs' status. But he's plenty worthy of a speculative add in leagues with at least 12 teams.
