As of this writing, Week 16 is not yet complete with one more full game left. But fantasy football owners who may still have something at stake (a championship final, a third-place game, a consolation bracket) can start to shift some focus to Week 17 and potential waiver wire adds.

Here is Week 17's edition of "playing the waiver wire".

Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 17

Zamir White, RB, Las Vegas Raiders

Josh Jacobs (quad/illness) missed the Christmas Day game against the Kansas City Chiefs, leaving White as the Raiders' lead back again and he delivered (22 carries for 145 yards). Over the last two games, with Jacobs out of course, White has 39 carries for 214 yards with a touchdown.

if Jacobs were to miss Week 17, White would lined for the lead back workload again, in a very nice matchup. The Indianapolis Colts entered Week 16 allowing the fourth-most fantasy points per game to running backs (0.5-point PPR), then they allowed 122 total yards to Bijan Robinson and 88 total yards to Tyler Allgeier in Week 16.

Jacobs' status will continue to dictate White's fantasy value, and frankly it can be known yet if Jacobs will suit up next week. But on the chance he can continue to help win some league titles, White is a top waiver wire add for Week 17.
