K.J. Osborn, WR, Minnesota Vikings

A Week 16 loss to the Detroit Lions was also costly on the injury front for the Vikings, with T.J. Hockenson (knee) and wide receiver Jordan Addison (ankle) leaving game and unable to return. The news on Hockenson is particularly negative, with his season possibly over, while Addison's injury is not considered to be major.

In the absence of two key weapons, Osborn had five receptions (on seven targets) for 95 yards and a touchdown against the Lions. He had 76 yards over his previous five games combined, but he did have seven targets back in Week 14.

Week 17 against the Green Bay Packers looks like a mediocre matchup for wide receivers. But Green Bay has been far worse against the position over the last four weeks or so (bottom-10 in the league in fantasy points allowed). So if Osborn has a bigger role than usual, he could certainly deliver a helpful fantasy performance.

Osborn has the most value as essentially a "handcuff" waiver wire add for Addison owners heading into Week 17. But he is broadly on the radar as a WR3/WR4 in leagues with 12 or more teams.
