Fantasy Football Week 2 Start 'Em, Sit 'Em

Week 1 of the 2023 fantasy season has already come and gone. Now it's time to either get the ball rolling towards a winning streak or doing everything you can to prevent yourself from starting the year 0-2.

Wide Receivers

Start- Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams (vs. San Francisco): I don't love this matchup from an offensive perspective for the Rams, but I always believe in playing the guys you went and spent big for on the waiver wire unless you are absolutely stacked. The Rams could be trailing in this one and Nacua is going to be targeted.

Start- Allen Robinson, Pittsburgh Steelers (vs. Cleveland): If you have limited or tough options this week, I think the veteran Robinson is a sneaky play. He actually led the Steelers in targets in Week 1.

Sit- Allen Lazard, New York Jets (at Dallas): Garrett Wilson simply has too much talent to bench, but as long as Zack Wilson is the starting QB, I bench most of my Jets players.

Sit- Kansas City Chiefs WRs (at Jacksonville): The Chiefs were clearly a different team offensively without Travis Kelce but none of the guys on the team did much to step up and not only that, made pretty much every fantasy manager out there wonder if they even can. Bench all of these guys until further notice.

Sleeper Alert- Zay Jones, Jacksonville Jaguars (vs. Kansas City): Jones seems to have created a great connection with Trevor Lawrence and that leads to plays like this. Calvin Ridley will get his fair share in Jacksonville, but Jones is a solid play in deep leagues all season.

Bust Alert- Davante Adams, Las Vegas Raiders (at Buffalo): Adams remains one of the most talented wide receivers in football, but Jimmy Garoppolo targeted Jakobi Meyers more in Week 1. That could be due to Patrick Surtain covering Adams for much of the game, but Jimmy G could become a big detriment to Adams' stock.
