Fantasy Football Week 3: Austin Ekeler out again, updated injury news
- Will OBJ suit up?
- What to do with Austin Ekeler out of the lineup
Los Angeles Chargers at Minnesota Vikings
Chargers: RB Austin Ekeler (OUT)
Vikings: No major injuries
Analysis: Arguably the biggest injury for fantasy managers to navigate in Week 3 is that of Chargers running back Austin Ekeler, who will miss his second straight game with an ankle injury. The fact that he is not even practicing is slightly concerning and we have to wonder if this is going to turn into a long-term thing.
If you were able to handcuff Ekeler with Joshua Kelley, good for you. The Chargers may also look to mix in Isaiah Spiller and Elijah Dotson.
New England Patriots at New York Jets
Patriots: No major injuries
Jets: K Greg Zuerlein (Questionable)
Analysis: This is a key game between these AFC East rivals and the only fantasy-relevant injury is to a kicker, Greg Zuerlein, who has a nagging groin issue. He missed the team's Week 2 game and Austin Seibert was brought in to kick for him.
If Zuerlein can't go, seek better options than Seibert for this week. But if he is your kicker, a groin injury can be problematic long-term for kickers, so you may want to look at other options entirely.
