Fantasy Football Week 3: Austin Ekeler out again, updated injury news
- Will OBJ suit up?
- What to do with Austin Ekeler out of the lineup
Pittsburgh Steelers at Las Vegas Raiders
No fantasy-relevant injuries for either team.
Philadelphia Eagles at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Buccaneers don't appear to have any injury concerns on offense. For the Eagles, wide receiver DeVonta Smith is nursing a hamstring injury as is fellow wide receiver Quez Watkins. Running backs Kenneth Gainwell (ribs) and Boston Scott (concussion) will also appear on the injury report.
As I pointed out in this week's Start 'Em, Sit 'Em, I think D'Andre Swift is a great option this week and the Eagles could really ride him on Monday night.
Los Angeles Rams at Cincinnati Bengals
Each team will have a key player to keep an eye on in this one as we get closer to Monday night. For the Rams, wide receiver Puka Nacua has come out of nowhere to be one of the brightest spots in fantasy football this season.
An oblique injury had him questionable last week but he suited up against the San Francisco 49ers and caught 15 passes for 147 yards. He is on the injury report again with that same injury. Nacua owners should not be too worried about the injury, but they will have to wonder how many targets he will get once Cooper Kupp returns to the lineup.
On the other side, Joe Burrow has been dealing with a calf injury that could easily keep him out of this game. In fact, his teammate, Ja'Marr Chase would like for him to sit it out. If he does, Jake Browning would get the start at QB for the Bengals.
If I'm a Burrow owner, I am worried about this injury. He sustained it early on in training camp and was carted off of the practice field that day. Though that may have been precautionary, he also may have rushed himself back a bit too soon. The Bengals are 0-2 and things could completely start to unravel for this team with a loss to the Rams, who have been better than expected.
If you are a Burrow owner, try to be the guy to claim Browning off of waivers if you have the roster spot but if this turns into a long-term thing you'll need a much better contingency plan.
