Week 7 of NFL action is upon us and it kicks off with the New Orleans Saints vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday Night Football. It will also be a crucial bye week as six teams get the week off including the Dallas Cowboys, Tennessee Titans, Cincinnati Bengals, New York Jets, Houston Texans and Carolina Panthers.

That means that owners will have to make do without some key contributors including Ja'Marr Chase, CeeDee Lamb, Breece Hall and Derrick Henry. For those more difficult lineup decisions this week, we're here to help.

Quarterback

Start: Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers (at Minnesota): Brock Purdy is coming off of his worst game as a pro and he finally lost his first game in the regular season as he had to deal with a tough Cleveland Browns defense in the elements last week.

Look for him to get back on track against a generous Vikings defense this week. You may want to monitor the status of Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel this week, as the play of the Niners last week went down severely without them, but Purdy should bounce back here.

Start: Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams (vs. Pittsburgh): Stafford looks cool and calm this season and with Cooper Kupp back in the lineup, along with the rookie Puka Nacua, this passing offense has some spark. Throw in third receiver Tutu Atwell against what hasn't been a great Steelers pass defense and this could be a big spot.

Sit: Gardner Minshew, Indianapolis Colts (vs. Cleveland): You saw what the Browns did to Purdy and that defensive unit is really coming on. Minshew will be helped by the fact that this game is at home and indoors, but it's still not the greatest matchup. I don't like any Colts players this week.

Sit: Desmond Ridder, Atlanta Falcons (at Tampa Bay): The Falcons have played six games this season and four of those have been at home. The others have been at Detroit (indoors) and vs. Jacksonville (in London). This will be his first outdoor game on the road this season and I don't like the matchup against Tampa Bay.

Look for Ridder to post pedestrian numbers, as he has all year (6 TDs, 6 INTs) but he won't be anything better than a bye week replacement in a spot where your starter is not available.

Sleeper: Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers (at Denver): Love needs a spot to shine and this could be it against a Broncos defense that if you were to call it bad you would be far too kind.

Bust: Jared Goff, Detroit Lions (at Baltimore): I would roll with Goff if he is your No. 1 starter but on the road, outside against Baltimore is not the ideal spot for him so I would temper expectations.
