Potential Jonathan Taylor trade partner: Minnesota Vikings

If the Colts can trade Taylor to an NFC team, that might be their preference as that would lessen the chance of him coming back to beat them in the future. In that regard, the Minnesota Vikings could make sense.

The Vikings and Cook parted ways earlier this offseason, opening the door for Alexander Mattison to be the team's No. 1 running back. But a chance to acquire Taylor could be too good to pass up and if the Vikings could make that deal work, pairing him with Mattison, that could be ideal.

The Vikings were one of the NFL's worst rushing teams last season, averaging just 97.7 yards per game on the ground. Adding a player such as Taylor could be a big boost to quarterback Kirk Cousins, who already has Justin Jefferson, T.J. Hocksenson and first-round pick Jordan Addison to throw to this season.

This offense could be quite dangerous with Taylor added to the mix and it could help push the Vikings toward the top of a fairly wide-open conference.
