Khalil Shakir is an excellent buy-low candidate in dynasty leagues

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Khalil Shakir could be in line for a huge increase in usage and statistics starting in 2024.

As we sit in February, the lull of the NFL offseason is now in full effect, but in a dynasty league roster building should never stop. There are always players that, if added at the right time, could become a gem for your team that you paid little for.

Savvy dynasty league players should have already pegged Bills WR Khalil Shakir for that spot as things are shaping up nicely for him in 2024.

The Bills have some questions to answer on offense. Josh Allen is the team's quarterback, but who he is delivering the football to next season remains a bit of a question.

There is some drama surrounding the team's No. 1 receiver, Stefon Diggs, and whether he could be traded or not. His brother, Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs, apparently thinks that he should be.

In addition to that, Gabe Davis is also set to become an unrestricted free agent and the general feeling seems to be that he will sign with a new team. Shakir could see a vault up the depth chart and become an integral piece of the team starting next season.

But there were hints of that as the 2023 season wore on.

Shakir caught only 10 passes as a rookie in 2022 but this past season, that number went up to 39 receptions. Of those 39, he caught 13 passes for 190 yards. He was becoming a trusted target of Allen late into the season, and that carried over into the playoffs.

In the Bills' two playoff games, Shakir caught 10 passes for 75 yards and had a touchdown catch in each game.

Shakir, a fifth-round pick in 2022, was probably not a big part of the roster on the team he sits on in your dynasty league at any particular time. That manager likely has no real attachment to him, unless they're a huge Bills fan.

So, float out a low-ball offer for Shakir. You might end up with an incredibly nice return.
