Super Wild Card Weekend begins with a doubleheader on Saturday starting in Houston when potential Rookie of the Year C. J. Stroud takes on Joe Flacco and the Cleveland Browns, followed by a homecoming for Tyreek Hill as he and the Miami Dolphins return to potentially frigid Kansas City.

This piece is designed for the single-day slate featuring these two games but can be applied if you are building a single team across the entire weekend, as it will be matchup-focused.

Quarterbacks to Avoid

C.J. Stroud ($6,800)

Stroud returned from an injury and led his team to a division title.  Last week, Stroud threw for 264 yards, including two touchdowns, with one of them being a 75-yard pass to Nico Collins. However, that was against the Indianapolis Colts. Now, Stroud plays against the fourth-best defense against opposing quarterbacks in the Cleveland Browns.

Stroud has been the driving force behind this offense, but it is difficult to justify playing a rookie against one of the best defenses in the league in his first career playoff game. He could very well have low ownership in several significant contests, which can give you some leverage, but beware if he only puts up a modest stat line.

Tua Tagovailoa ($7,000)

Similar to Stroud, the matchup could be better.  It is even worse for Tagovailoa that he has to travel to Arrowhead, where the forecast projects it to be one of the coldest games in NFL history.  To make matters worse, when Tagovailoa matched up against this defense on a neutral field in Germany, albeit early in the season, he threw for an underwhelming 193 yards and one score.
