Running Backs to Avoid

Kyren Williams ($7,300)

The highest-priced running back on the weekend slate matches up against the top run defense in fantasy. The Rams will win this game on the back of Matthew Stafford, as the Lions’ pass defense is second worst in the league. Draft Williams with caution.

Jahmyr Gibbs DET ($6,500) and David Montgomery ($6,200)

Almost evenly priced, this two-headed monster has served as the foundation for the NFC North Division Champions. Like Williams, these two running backs have a tough matchup and will rely on Jared Goff and the Lions' passing attack to keep up with the Rams.

Montgomery could easily fall in for two short goal line scores but might not even top 50 rushing yards.  Gibbs has the potential to break a big run but has recently been an afterthought in the receiving game (only one reception in the previous two games).  I see both, especially Montgomery, as touchdown-dependent on Sunday night.
