Of the positions in fantasy football, nobody gets excited to scout kickers but everybody needs one to win a championship. Perhaps no positional rankings are as volatile as that of the kickers, with major shake-ups seemingly occurring every week.

With so many factors affecting kicker rankings, it is nearly impossible to predict which players will end the year at the top of the position. Even the biggest names and most accurate kickers fail to break the top 10 in certain years due to elements that can sometimes be out of their control.

Brandon Aubrey was the perfect example of the unpredictability of the position in 2023. Entering the league as a 28-year-old rookie from the USFL, Aubrey had no collegiate football experience but ended the year as the top fantasy kicker by a wide margin. Meanwhile, the No. 1 overall kicker from two years before, Daniel Carlson, finished as the K24 despite playing in all 17 games.

On top of it all, kickers have the lowest job security in the league and, along with punters, are the most likely to be replaced each offseason. With just 32 employed kickers each season, sometimes the most talented players end up without a team by Week 1.

Given everything that goes into assessing the value of each kicker in the league, we here at Fantasy CPR analyzed all relevant components for each player to break down the top 32 placekickers entering 2024.
