Eric Gray, New York Giants

This is the equivalent of a dart throw as there is nothing from Eric Gray's rookie season to suggest he will be a big contributor in 2024. But when looking at the roster of the New York Giants, at least as it is currently constructed, there is an opportunity.

Gray played in 13 games for the Giants in 2023 but was used mostly on special teams as he was given just 17 carries and he caught six passes. He is still looking for his first professional touchdown.

But with Saquon Barkley joining the Philadelphia Eagles in free agency, the door is wide open for someone to take over the Giants' backfield, even with the signing of veteran Devin Singletary.

Gray was selected in the fifth round of the 2023 draft after rushing for nearly 1,400 yards and 11 touchdowns during his senior season at Oklahoma. With the other running backs on the Giants roster currently being Gary Brightwell, Jashaun Corbin and Deon Jackson, there is no reason why Gray can't be the No. 2 guy to begin the season.

If he performs well enough in camp and preseason games this summer, he could cut into Singletary's workload and make it a true 50/50 split.
