3.) Keenan Allen gets no more than 5 targets vs. Jets

The Los Angeles Chargers head east to take on the New York Jets on Monday night football. Wideout Keenan Allen started out the season on a high note, reaching 402 receiving yards off of 32 receptions. Since then, he has only managed to get 241 receiving yards off of 22 receptions. For the last four weeks, Allen has gone back and forth between single and double digit targets. Last week, he had 10 targets for 8 catches and 69 yards against the Chicago Bears.

As he prepares to go up against a Jets’ secondary who have Sauce Gardner and D.J. Reed locking it down in the back-end, Allen could struggle to not only get receptions, but even targets as well. The Chargers have their backs up against the wall at 3-4, which puts pressure on the offense to play better than they have the last month of football. However, going up against a stellar defense in New York will make it challenging and Allen could see his production drop this week.
