Before Jacksonville's bye week in Week 9, Etienne had four games in a row over 22.70 points with one game at 36.40. Etienne had 7 of 8 games in double digits. After the bye week, Etienne is averaging 7.65 points per game. The game script was pass heavy, but Etienne only received three targets (three receptions) and he couldn't do much with them gaining just seven yards.
With the game well in hand by halftime, Jacksonville seemed to want to err to the side of caution with Etienne and instead used Tank Bigsby to run out the clock. Etienne didn't even get much garbage time. The next game against the Texans should be a shootout with red hot CJ Stroud as the opposing quarterback. Texas has given up the 7th fewest yards against the run but have given up the 6th most rushing touchdowns.
Jacksonville will want to keep the Texans firmly in second place and will figure out how to get their big playmaker in the game as much as possible. Week 11 (and Week 10) was a Blip and Etienne will rebound in Week 12 in a big way.
