Few positions are as volatile in fantasy football as wide receiver, with so many factors influencing player performance from week to week. With so many players involved and their performances often reliant on the production of others, no other positional rankings are as debated and volatile.

In 2023, no receiver was better than CeeDee Lamb in fantasy, who finished as the WR1 in all league formats. With a league-leading 135 receptions, Lamb posted 1,862 all-purpose yards and 14 total touchdowns to top the WR2 Tyreek Hill, who led the league with 1,799 receiving yards.

Amongst the household names who have become synonymous with fantasy excellence, 2023 marked the breakout years of potential future stars Nico Collins and Puka Nacua, both of whom finished in the top 10 despite being left off of most preseason rankings.

On paper, 2024 could be the changing of the guard at receiver with a handful of household names on the wrong side of 30. Stefon Diggs, Cooper Kupp, Mike Evans, Davante Adams and Hill have all passed the landmark age that has typically signaled the apex for NFL receivers. Predicting a point of decline is nearly impossible to do without foreshadowing symptoms, especially at receiver where a player could either be Larry Fitzgerald or Jarvis Landry.

Before anything changes too much down the line, here are Fantasy CPR's top 40 wide receivers entering the 2024 NFL season.
