A number of the top running backs for fantasy football are on bye in Week 9, including Christian McCaffrey and Travis Etienne. Meanwhile, Derrick Henry already played this week and picked up 75 rushing yards and a touchdown on Thursday night against the Steelers.

The options at the position might be limited but these four running backs could end up being sneaky good plays for fantasy football.

Devin Singletary (Houston Texans)

Devin Singletary has steadily been getting more opportunities in this Texans' offense with 22 carries in the past two weeks. The role should only grow in Week 9 against the Bucs as Dameon Pierce has already been ruled out for Sunday's game.

Singletary is used to being the featured running back as he was in the role for the first four years of his career with the Buffalo Bills. He is a player that not only should get close to 15 carries in this game but could also come away with four or five receptions.

It isn't necessarily a great matchup against the Bucs as they have allowed the 10th fewest rushing yards per game at 98.6 yards. However, there aren't many running backs on the waiver wire that look to be the primary running back this week and Singletary is a volume running back that if he finds the end zone, could end up being in the Top 24 at the position.
