In a championship week for fantasy football leagues, managers are going to have some tough decisions at running back. There are several running backs who have been basically plug-and-play, running backs that have been fixtures in fantasy football lineups.

While there is a case to be made to start the players that got teams this far, matchups and trends should be taken into account. These are three running backs that might be tough to bench but should be kept out of fantasy football lineups this week.

James Conner (vs. Philadelphia Eagles)

In the last three games, James Conner has finished in the Top 12 at running back and done it against pretty good defenses (Steelers, 49ers, and Bears). He has had three straight games with double digit carries and had eight receptions combined in the past two games.

The reason that Conner has been able to finish as high as he has is due to his touchdowns with four over the past three games. On the road, and with Kyler Murray dealing with an illness, the Cardinals should have a tough time moving the ball and Conner will struggle to continue his streak of Top 12 finishes.
