4 must-start quarterbacks in fantasy football for Week 17
For most fantasy football leagues, Week 17 is the championship week and entering this week there has been a ton of changes at quarterback. On Wednesday, the New York Giants and Washington Commanders announced they would be benching their starters and going with Tyrod Taylor and Jacoby Brissett respectively.
However, the most surprising move was the Denver Broncos benching Russell Wilson for Jarrett Stidham in a matchup in which Wilson was a low-end QB1 against the Chargers. The good news is for any managers with these four quarterbacks there isn't much to decide as these five are must-start in Week 17.

5 must-start quarterbacks in fantasy football for Week 17
Jalen Hurts (vs. Arizona Cardinals)
If there was one quarterback this week as my pick for the one who finishes as the top scoring quarterback, it would be Jalen Hurts. The Eagles' quarterback has a great matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, who have allowed the sixth most points per game to quarterback.
Over the past month, Hurts hasn't been great but has been productive with only two passing touchdowns but four rushing touchdowns. This past week against the Giants he had 301 passing yards and two total touchdowns but should score more this week.
Patrick Mahomes (vs. Cincinnati Bengals)
Patrick Mahomes has been consistently in the MVP discussion almost every season he has been in the league. However, this season the Chiefs offense has not been nearly as efficient and has scored under 20 points in three of the past four games.
During that stretch, Mahomes has had only five touchdowns but has also thrown five interceptions. The noise has gotten pretty loud around the Chiefs and these are usually the games that the Chiefs quarterback has a statement game. The Bengals have allowed the 10th most points to quarterbacks this season and Mahomes should have a Top 5 finish this week.
Brock Purdy (vs. Washington Commanders)
Brock Purdy had one of the worst games of his careers against the Baltimore Ravens with four interceptions but there is nothing better to turn it around then a matchup against the Washington Commanders. They are tied for allowing the most fantasy points per game at 21 in the NFL.
The San Francisco 49ers quarterback is one of the most efficient in the league as he routinely is around or under 30 pass attempts but is averagin 270 passing yards per game. This week, Purdy gets back on track and should push 300 passing yards and at least three passing touchdowns.
Dak Prescott (vs. Detroit Lions)
Dak Prescott bounced back against the Miami Dolphins with 253 yards and two touchdowns and now heads home for a big game against the Detroit Lions. For fantasy football managers, this is great news as Prescott has thrown 20 touchdowns to only two interceptions at home (compared to 10 touchdowns and five interceptions on the road).
The Cowboys and Lions have a chance to be a high scoring matchup and Dak Prescott should lead the way in what amounts to a must-win for Dallas.
