Isaiah Spiller

Another big name running back that could be a free agent this offseason is Austin Ekeler. The Los Angeles Chargers running back is in the final year of his contract and the two sides have been able to reach an agreement on a new deal.

In addition to Ekeler, Joshua Kelley is also set to be a free agent which opens the door potentially for Isaiah Spiller to finally get a chance to have a role in this offense. He was a fourth round pick by the Chargers last year and has only appeared in 11 games over the past two seasons and only 30 rushing attempts.

Prior to the 2022 NFL Draft, there was some discussion of Spiller being in the same group of Breece Hall and Kenneth Walker III. These two running backs have been very productive in the NFL and in the Chargers offense it wouldn't be surprising to see Spiller have a similar impact.
