4 waiver wire adds in fantasy football before Chargers vs. Jets
Dalvin Cook
The first half of the season has not gone well for Dalvin Cook as he has been almost a non-factor in the Jets' offense. On top of that, when he does get carries he hasn't been able to do much with them as he averaged only 2.8 yards per carry.
The former Minnesota Vikings running back hasn't been nearly as productive and sounded frustrated with his role a few weeks ago. While Cook hasn't looked great this year, the reason he should be a waiver wire target before this game is that if Breece Hall suffers an injury, Dalvin Cook moves into the RB2 conversation with the amount of work he would have in this offense.
These type of moves are speculative in nature and in the end he likely could be dropped on Tuesday. However, if there is a spot open on your bench then it is worth being proactive before waiver wire locks.
