Austin Ekeler

One of those running backs that was a fantasy football star but might not be moving forward is Austin Ekeler. The Los Angeles Chargers running back has been one of the best in the NFL over the past two seasons prior to 2023 with 38 total touchdowns, leading the league in the category each year.

However, this season Ekeler has seen almost all of his stats significantly decrease across the board. He is averaging only 3.7 rushing yards per attempt (almost a full yard lower than 2022), 44 receptions (down from 107), and six total touchdowns.

Austin Ekeler will be 29 years old to begin the 2024 season and he might have a tough time being a clear cut starter moving forward and will likely be apart of a running back committee wherever he is playing next season.
