There were a number of players who had big performances in Week 8 like Sam Howell, Will Levis, DeAndre Hopkins, CeeDee Lamb, and Jahmyr Gibbs. However, there were also a number of players that had high expectations for fantasy football this week that didn't pan out that way.

These are the five players that disappointed in fantasy football for Week 8.

Lamar Jackson

The Baltimore Ravens quarterback was coming off his best game this season with 357 passing yards, three touchdowns with 36 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. He had a matchup with an Arizona Cardinals defense that has been struggling this season and seemed like a slam dunk to finish in the Top 3.

He would finish the game completing 18 of 27 pass attempts but had only 157 passing yards, 17 rushing yards with one touchdown. This week it would be Gus Edwards that would find the end zone for the Ravens offense with three rushing touchdowns. Lamar Jackson's Week 9 matchup isn't great against a solid Seahawks defense but with so many questions at the position, he has a good chance finishing Top 5.
