8 fantasy football observations and takeaways from Week 8
Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase and rest of Bengals offense is clicking
The Cinncinnati Bengals was an offense that had multiple top fantasy football performers with Joe Burrow, running back Joe Mixon, and wide receivers Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. Probably all of these players were gone in the first five rounds but the season started off very poorly, probably due to a lingering calf injury for Burrow from training camp.
However, that injury does not appear to be much of a factor anymore and the offense is playing great football with 31 points against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 8. Joe Burrow would complete 28 of 32 passes for 283 yards with three touchdowns with Ja'Marr Chase leading the wide receivers with 10 receptions for 100 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Tee Higgins had five receptions for 69 yards and Joe Mixon had his best game of the season with 87 rushing yards and a touchdown late that sealed the win. The Bengals have a big-time matchup against a Buffalo Bills defense that has looked beatable the past few weeks.
