If there is one player that probably benefits from Russell Wilson moving to the bench, it is running back Javonte Williams. He got off to a slow start as he worked his way back from an ACL injury but starting in Week 8 he looked to turn a corner as he had 20+ carries in back to back weeks with almost 80 rushing yards each game and one receiving touchdown.
The past few weeks, he hasn't gotten the same workload with only 23 rushing attempts the past two weeks and just over 50 rushing yards combined. He did have a touchdown last week against the Patriots which helped save his week.
With Stidham under center, the Broncos should look to get Williams 20+ carries but whether he is able to be productive will be determined by the quarterback. If Stidham can't move the ball through the air, the Chargers are going to load up the box to slow Williams.
