Jamaal Williams (New Orleans Saints)

It has been a disappointing season for Jamaal Williams in his first year with the New Orleans Saints. Last year with the Detroit Lions he led the league with 17 rushing touchdowns but this year he has yet to find the end zone with no touchdowns, either rushing or receiving.

Prior to Week 17, Williams had only 74 rushing attempts in 12 games with the Saints and an average of three yards per carry. However, Alvin Kamara suffered an ankle injury on Sunday against the Bucs and after that, Williams would finish the game with 19 rushing attempts and 58 rushing yards.

It remains to be seen if Kamara will play in the regular season finale but if he doesn't Jamaal Williams is a good replacement for Christian McCaffrey. The Saints end the season against the Falcons and while Atlanta has been good this year against the run, they have struggled recently. They just gave up over 100 rushing yards to Khalil Herbert and the week prior to that, Jonathan Taylor had only 43 rushing yards but did score a touchdown.

If Jamaal Williams is the primary running back in Week 18, he has a good chance to get into the end zone before the end of the 2023 season.
