On the NFC side, the San Francisco 49ers secured the first seed after their win and Philadelphia Eagles loss in Week 17. The 49ers will face a similar decision as the Ravens in whether or not it is smart for them to have players sit out two consecutive weeks.

The San Francisco 49ers have players who could be candidates like George Kittle, wide receivers Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel, but Christian McCaffrey is probably the most likely player to sit out this week.

McCaffrey has been one of the best running backs in fantasy football this season. However, he left the game early against the Commanders due to a calf injury. After the game, it was described as minor and he was kept out due to precautionary reasons.

To ensure that McCaffrey is fully healthy for the playoffs, it would make sense for him to be held out of the regular season finale.
