5 players likely to sit out Week 18 and what it means for fantasy football

The Kansas City Chiefs won the AFC West in Week 17 after their win over the Cincinnati Bengals but the Chiefs are far from looking like the dominant team they have been in past seasons. They might want to use this final regular season game as a way to try and get the offense right heading into the playoffs.

However, they are also a veteran team that has been here before and certainly know how to turn it up once the playoffs roll around. If that is the case, the two players most likely to be held out would be Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.

This might end up being good news for fantasy football managers because neither player can really be benched but neither player has necessarily played well over the past month. It has been a rough stretch for these two and not having the option to start them in Week 18 could be good news.
