Fantasy Football: 5 running backs to avoid starting in Week 12
James Conner (vs. Los Angeles Rams)
The Arizona Cardinals offense has looked much better over the past two games with the return of Kyler Murray. However, the return of the franchise quarterback coincided with the return of James Conner, who missed the previous four games while on injured reserve.
In the last two games, he has had 73 rushing yards and 62 rushing yards respectively with 30 total carries. He has certainly gotten a majority of the work out of the backfield and that trend should continue this week against the Rams.
However, Conner has not found the end zone during this time which has kept his point total down and the Cardinals get a good Rams run defense that has been much improved recently. Over the past four weeks, the Rams have allowed only one rushing touchdown. The lack of touchdown potential should give fantasy football managers pause in starting James Conner this week.
