Darren Waller

Similar to wide receiver, there is a clear separation at the top of the tight end position followed by everyone else. There is a group that includes Travis Kelce and Mark Andrews but then it gets a little cloudier of who is number three.

During fantasy football drafts, there was a debate between T.J. Hockenson and Darren Waller. Through the first part of the season, people who drafted Hockenson should be much happier.

Darren Waller was traded to the New York Giants this offseason and with not much at wide receiver, Waller had a chance to be the top target for Daniel Jones. However, Waller hasn’t been as involved to begin the season and his production has not met expectations.

Through the first six games, Waller has four games with seven or more targets but has more than five receptions in only three. Meanwhile, he has three games with only three receptions, and under 50 receiving yards in four games.

The challenge is that options are pretty limited at tight end so for people who drafted Waller, they likely won’t find much better on the waiver wire.
