The San Francisco 49ers appeared set to be without starting quarterback Brock Purdy after he was placed in concussion protocol after their Monday night loss to the Minnesota Vikings. The 49ers have now lost two games in a row and it doesn't get any easier on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Fortunately, Brock Purdy did clear the concussion protocol and is now set to play against the Bengals, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The Bengals have done a good job defending quarterbacks this year as they are allowing an average of 213 passing yards per game with eight passing touchdowns allowed but also forced eight interceptions.

Brock Purdy should lean on George Kittle in Week 8 and he should be in every fantasy football lineup

If there is one position that has found success against the Bengals it is at tight end as they are allowing on average 13.65 fantasy points per game, which is the seventh most in the NFL according to NFL Fantasy.

With Deebo Samuels still out, it would make sense for Purdy to look towards George Kittle early and often in this game. The former All-Pro has been inconsistent this year with some big games like against the Dallas Cowboys where he had three receiving touchdowns or last week against the Minnesota VIkings with five receptions for 78 yards.

However, in two of the past four games he has been held to only one reception in each game. This week the potential is there for Kittle to be a Top 3 tight end and the return of Brock Purdy should only help his chances this week.

However, Brock Purdy may not be as effective and probably will finish the week somewhere in the 12 to 15 range among quarterbacks in fantasy football for Week 8.
