Fantasy Football: Dalton Kincaid should be the top waiver target in Week 8
The Buffalo Bills offense has found themselves in a rut after three straight weeks of subpar play. They have gotten off to a slow start struggling to find the end zone in the first three quarters before putting up points in the fourth quarter.
The offense is too talented for this trend to continue and it doesn't make sense to give up on Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, or James Cook yet. However, one player that emerged last week and should have a bigger role moving forward is Dalton Kincaid.
Dalton Kincaid should be the top waiver target in Week 8 for fantasy football
The rookie tight end has been rather quite so far this season even though he has been on the field for 50% or more of the offensive snaps in each game he has played. However, he had only five or more receptions in one game over the first five weeks.
However, against the Patriots Kincaid led the team in receptions with eight and receiving yards with 75. The targets should only grow for Dalton Kincaid after the Bills announced that Dawson Knox would be out indefinitely after needing wrist surgery.
The reason that Dalton Kincaid has the potential of being a Top 5 tight end for the remainder of the season is that he should see the targets that were initially going towards Knox. He has averaged four targets per game but Kincaid should be able to do more with those targets.
Knox catch rate was only 53.6% while Kincaid is a more reliable pass catcher and has a remarkable catch rate of 92.6%. The two players have almost the same exact targets but Kincaid has 25 receptions while Knox has only 15.
In an offense that probably will look to Josh Allen to throw them out of the funk, and no clear number two behind Stefon Diggs, he has such a high ceiling in fantasy football that he should be startable every week for the remainder of the season.
