After the New York Giants traded for Darren Waller during the offseason, the expectations were that Waller could be one of the best tight ends for fantasy football. The former Raiders tight end was joining Brian Daboll's offense and had a great chance to be the top target for Daniel Jones.

At times this season, Waller played up to the hype but the injury history followed him as he missed the last five games due to a hamstring injury. However, he looks set to return this week against the New Orleans Saints after he was activated off the injured reserve.

Where does Darren Waller rank among tight ends for fantasy football in Week 15?

When Darren Waller takes the field he will have a new quarterback as Tommy DeVito has since replaced the injured Tyrod Taylor, who replaced the injured Daniel Jones. The undrafted free agent quarterback has been getting some production from the offense with seven passing touchdowns and only one interception in the last four games.

With Waller back in the lineup, he immediately becomes DeVito most talented pass catcher and should see plenty of targets this week against the New Orleans Saints. Recently, the Saints defense has been pretty average against tight ends and they have allowed the 12th most points per game to tight ends over the past month.

The challenge of ranking Darren Waller with his expected return in Week 15 is that the tight end position is the deepest it has been in recent memory. There is still Travis Kelce, Sam LaPorta, and George Kittle at the top of the position but there are players like T.J. Hockenson, Evan Engram, Trey McBride, and Dallas Goedert that are still very productive and basically must-starts.

There is certainly a big question about whether or not the Giants will give Darren Waller a full workload in his first game back. The seven tight ends listed previously should be started ahead of Waller but outside of that group, Darren Waller should be added to fantasy football lineups.
