Early look at waiver wire options for fantasy football in Week 12
Jeff Wilson Jr., RB (Miami Dolphins)
The final player is Jeff Wilson Jr., who was actually inactive for the Miami Dolphins this week against the Las Vegas Raiders. However, the Dolphins are dealing with injuries at the position and are also set to play on a short week against the New York Jets on Friday.
This week, De'Von Achane was activated off the injured reserve but his return was very short as he suffered another knee injury that forced him to leave. In addition to Achane, Salvon Ahmed also left the game against the Raiders with an injury after scoring a receiving touchdown in the first half.
The severity for both injuries is really unknown at this point but it is worth monitoring the injury reports and their participation levels ahead of Thursday. The first practice report for the Dolphins should be on Tuesday and will be a good indication on how these two are progressing.
In the meantime, adding Jeff Wilson Jr. to the bench would make a lot of sense because if both running backs miss this week then Wilson would be the backup to Raheem Mostert. The New York Jets rank in the Top 3 in terms of rushing yards allowed and it wouldn't be surprising to see Wilson break off some big runs in this game.
