Fantasy Football: Kenneth Walker III has no injury designation for Week 8
One of the biggest surprises from Friday was that Kenneth Walker III doesn't have any injury designation heading into the Seattle Seahawks game against the Cleveland Browns. The Seahawks lead back did not practice at all on Wednesday or Thursday before practicing in full on Friday.
Walker has been one of the best running backs in fantasy football this season as he already has 450 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns. Last week against the Cardinals, he did see his four game streak with at least one touchdown come to an end but still had 105 rushing yards on 26 carries.
The Browns defense on paper has done pretty well against the run as they are allowing the seventh fewest rushing yards per game at only 93.8 yards. However, they struggled this past week against the Colts as Jonathan Taylor and Zack Moss combined for 132 rushing yards.
Kenneth Walker III isn't the only running back set to return for the Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks also appear that they will be getting rookie Zach Charbonnet back after he missed last week's game due to a hamstring injury. Similar to Walker, he also doesn't have an injury designation for this game.
So far this season, Charbonnet has primarily been the backup as he has averaged 4.6 carries per game. He likely won't be a factor in fantasy football this week or a player that could be started with any confidence.
However, the question will be whether or not the Seahawks try to manage the workload for Kenneth Walker III with Charbonnet set to be active. It would make sense that they wouldn't want to re-aggravate that calf injury so Walker, who is averaging 18.2 carries per game, could end up with something in the range of 13-15 for this game.
If that does happen, Kenneth Walker III goes from being a Top 5 option at running back to a low-end RB1.
