The Miami Dolphins have a pivotal game this weekend against the Baltimore Ravens as there is plenty of playoff implications for both teams. It is a game with some marquee players for fantasy football like Lamar Jackson, Tyreek Hill, Raheem Mostert, and Tua Tagovailoa.

However, one player who won't be available for fantasy football managers this week is Jaylen Waddle. The former first round pick suffered a high-ankle sprain last week and it seemed unlikely that he would play this weekend. That came to be a reality on Friday as the Dolphins officially ruled him out for Week 17.

What are the fantasy football implications with Jaylen Waddle out in Week 17?

For anyone who had Jaylen Waddle on their team, this is a pretty big loss as Waddle has been good this season with over 1,000 receiving yards and four touchdowns. He had one of his best games of the season in Week 15 with Tyreek Hill out when he caught eight passes for 142 yards and a touchdown.

Last week against the Cowboys, Waddle had a 50-yard reception on the opening drive but that ankle injury limited him the rest of the way and that would be his only catch of the day.

This week's matchup isn't great as the Ravens have one of the best defenses in the league as they have allowed the ninth fewest receiving yards per game but have allowed the fewest receiving touchdowns on the season with only 15.

The absence of Waddle means that Tyreek Hill should see even more targets than he normally has, which has been an average of 10.4 per game. The Dolphins are also going to need other wide receivers to step up and that could be Cedrick Wilson Jr. or even Chase Claypoo. However, neither are great options because of the matchup.
