Week 9 officially came to a close on Monday night with a matchup between the New York Jets and Los Angeles Chargers. The focus now turns to Week 10 as fantasy football leagues head into the stretch run toward the playoffs.

This week could mark the return of a quarterback that may be a factor in those playoffs meanwhile some players could be missing some time over the next few weeks. These are some of the news and notes from the past 24 hours.

Fantasy Football News: Kyler Murray expected to return in Week 10

On Monday, Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon announced that Kyler Murray will start this weekend against the Atlanta Falcons as long as there are no setbacks. It has been almost a full year since Murray played in an NFL game after suffering a torn ACL last December.

The last full season Kyler Murray played he was a Top 10 quarterback for fantasy football and the hope is that he can contribute at that level over the second part of the season. However, one of the reasons Murray was so productive was his ability to make plays with his legs.

It will be interesting to see if he is still effective running the ball or if that is going to take some time to get back to the level it once was. If Murray is still on the waiver wire, he would be a great add as during the fantasy football playoffs (Week 16 and Week 17) he has plus matchups against the Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles that would make him a solid start.
