Fantasy Football News: Devin Singletary could have first start with Houston Texans in Week 9

The Houston Texans backfield has been one worth watching over the past few weeks as Dameon Pierce is losing touches to backup Devin Singletary. In the first five games of the season, Singletary has had only 27 rushing attempts and five targets.

However, the past two games Singletary has had 22 rushing attempts and four targets while Dameon Pierce continues to struggle with only an average of three yards per rushing attempt and one touchdown on 109 carries.

This week looks like it could be entirely Devin Singletary as Pierce missed his second straight practice due to an ankle injury. The matchup this week isn't great against a solid Bucs' defense but if Singletary has a good game, it could be just enough to jump Pierce on the depth chart and finish the year as an RB2 in fantasy football.
