The first round of the NFL playoffs is now complete and there were certainly some big surprises over the three day weekend. The Texans and C.J. Stroud dismantled the Cleveland Browns while the Green Bay Packers became the first seven seed to win a playoff game with a road victory over the Dallas Cowboys.

While there will still be plenty of DFS to be played, the focus for fantasy football is turned towards the future. That includes a quarterback prospect that could make some noise in the 2024 NFL Draft along with a former college coach who could be making the jump to the NFL. Let's take a look at some of the recent fantasy football news and rumors.

Noah Brown placed on injured reserve by the Texans

One of the notable injuries from the Wild Card weekend was wide receiver Noah Brown who saw his season come to an end on Monday. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Texans placed Brown on injured reserve and with him having to be there for a minimum of four games, his 2023 season has come to an end.

The depth at wide receiver for the Houston Texans is going to be tested as they were already without Tank Dell from an injury earlier this season. For DFS purposes, Robert Woods is probably the player who sees the biggest bump in snaps and targets but the biggest impact is probably on C.J. Stroud who needs all the help he can get in a tough matchup against the Ravens.
