Fantasy Football: Week 2 buy and sell candidates

One week into the NFL and Fantasy Football season and it's time to overreact. If you lost in Week 1, you're likely already wondering what is wrong with your team. Sometimes, the best move is to stay the course and make the right move at the right time, rather than jumping on the first one that comes up.

As soon as Tuesday hits each week, owners are running to the waiver wire and examining their rosters looking for the best moves to make. How can they gain an advantage over the rest of the league?

Each week, there are a handful of players that owners may want to move or try to obtain. Here, we will look at some of these players and advise you which route to take.

Based on the results of Week 1 of the 2023 season, here is how you should handle each of these players.

Deebo Samuel, WR, San Francisco 49ers: Buy

The San Francisco 49ers came out firing on all cylinders on Sunday as they routed the Pittsburgh Steelers. This is an offense that you want to get some shares of.

I've spoken about Deebo Samuel before and still feel he's an elite player. He is a guy that you could possibly obtain affordably right now.

Brandon Aiyuk was the wide receiver that went off in Week 1. He caught eight passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns. Meanwhile, Deebo caught just five passes for 55 yards.

If you come forth with a decent offer, not an overpayment, you might catch the Deebo owner thinking that his star is fading while Brock Purdy gets comfortable with Aiyuk. But the truth is, Aiyuk has not shown the kind of consistency that Samuel has in his career and this sets up a tremendous opportunity for you to perhaps get Samuel cheaper than you ever have been able to.

If you need help at the WR position and like what Samuel could bring to your team, at least float an offer out there.
