The Tennessee Titans have already ruled out starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons. Head coach Mike Vrabel is hoping to keep everyone guessing on which quarterback will play and has stated that both quarterbacks will be playing this weekend.

While this is a tactic that most head coaches will use, similar to what the Arizona Cardinals tried to do at the beginning of the season with Joshua Dobbs and Clayton Tune, however the Titans may not be be doing this for a competitive balance but rather because they want to see both quarterbacks perform in a regular season game.

Important game to watch for dynasty fantasy football looking ahead to 2024

It is unlikely that Ryan Tannehill is going to be the starting quarterback in 2024 and the Titans are going to have to make a decision between Malik Willis, their third round pick from 2022, and Will Levis, their second round pick from 2023. This weekend's game could be an indication of who is the favorite heading into next year between the two.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Will Levis is the quarterback expected to start and be the primary quarterback for this game. That certainly makes sense as Levis hasn't played yet this regular season and at one point was considered a first round quarterback.

However, he slid into the second round and has enough upside to be a starting quarterback in this league. Meanwhile, Malik Willis has had opportunities to play over the past two years but hasn't really been able to do much with those chances.

At the end of last season, with Ryan Tannehill out due to injury, the Titans elected to go with Joshua Dobbs, who they just signed instead of Malik Willis. This seemed like an indication of their confidence in Willis but then Willis earned the backup job this season and beat out Levis for that spot.

There may not be many implications this season but if Will Levis performs well against the Falcons then Malik Willis is likely droppable in most dynasty fantasy football leagues with Levis the favorite entering 2024.
