So, Aaron Rodgers is likely (?) out for the season and Zach Wilson has taken over as the New York Jets' starting quarterback. The offense hasn't ran smoothly all the time, but Garrett Wilson has remained a constant for both Gang Green and his fantasy football managers.

Even without Rodgers, the sophomore wideout has managed to score 14 or more fantasy points in three of his four games so far this season, including consecutive games with a touchdown in Weeks 1 and 2. In addition, Wilson has had a target share of no fewer than 29 percent through four games with this low-octane Jets offense.

The young quarterback Wilson played arguably the best - or one of the best - games of his career Sunday night against the Kansas City Chiefs, and that resulted in his pass-catching counterpart garnering 14 targets and turning them into nine catches for 60 yards. Sure, the Jets still lost, but their offense showed some real signs of life despite not having a run game for virtually the whole night.

Are fantasy football players getting the version of Wilson that they were hoping for when they drafted him at the top of Round 2 or the back of Round 1 in their drafts? No, probably not. But, it's important to keep in mind that the former Ohio State star was among the very best receivers in fantasy in 2022 with Wilson playing some games at QB, notwithstanding his modest four receiving touchdowns.

Wilson has 13 games to score two touchdowns to match his total from last season, and is already averaging over a full fantasy point more (13.9) in 2023 compared to last year (12.7). Even if the Jets' quarterback situation remains mostly the same for the rest of this season, Wilson has already proven his value to fantasy football players. As long as he's on the field, he's in your fantasy lineup.
